YouTube supports three privacy levels, which include:
- Public — the live stream is immediately discoverable on your channel by anyone.
- Private — the live stream is only available to those you specifically invite.
- Unlisted — the live stream is only available to those who have the link.
You can change the privacy setting for a live stream at any time in YouTube Studio. This setting just represents the initial privacy setting for the live stream.
If you’re going to do testing, do your channel followers a favor and do Private or Unlisted.
The values you provide for Title and Description are used when creating your live stream. These fields support some dynamic values which include:
- $camera — this will insert the name of the camera you’re live streaming.
- $longdate — November 21, 2023
- $shortdate —
- $longtime —
- $shorttime —
- $longday — Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, …
- $shortday — Mon, Tue, Wed, …
