NAS Recording, not to be mistaken for Cloud Recording, is a Streamie feature that allows you to make use of your own storage solution to record your cameras. Streamie supports SMB and S3 for camera recording. SMB is typically a local file server. S3 can be either a local, self-managed S3 service running on your own hardware, or you can obtain storage space from one of many S3 storage providers.
With this feature unlocked, you can record “unlimited” duration (999 days) to your own storage. You can demo this feature for free, which is limited to a single day of recording.
Streamie presently only supports YouTube for live streaming. You can demo this feature for free. Live streaming sessions are limited to 30 minutes, after which the live streaming session automatically terminates.
With this feature unlocked, you can run indefinite live streaming sessions. Personally, I’ve run sessions that lasted months. Our hope is to add support for other platforms. This development effort is non-trivial and depends a good bit on user demand.
Streamie can switch between accounts. Each physical location of your business can be represented by a separate Streamie account, keeping settings, access controls, users, devices and cameras conveniently contained. With multi-location support, you can access each of your locations from the convenience of a single device.
This upgrade is sold on a per-location basis.
