Streamie In Real Life, 011: Gym

Streamie is made for gyms!

This gym in Marietta, GA had been hamstrung with Arlo cameras. Apparently only a single camera can record at a time? And even if the right camera was recording at the right time, the resulting video quality was often unhelpful.

We pulled cables, terminated ends, made a giant mess, and got all of the cameras up-and-running in an afternoon.

When it was all done, this iMac streamed the six cameras and it has a custom module to display the gym logo.

The iMac enables remote camera access. It also records via S3 to a local Minio instance for speedy access to 24/7 recordings. After-hours events, made possible by a custom Mode that defines business hours, causes alerts to be sent to other devices.
